A Brief History of Weaving

Weaving dates back to the Neolithic period, with some of the earliest known woven fabrics discovered in ancient Egypt, Peru, and China. Over the centuries, cultures developed their own weaving styles, motifs, and technologies. In medieval Europe, weaving became a highly specialized trade, while in India, intricate handloom techniques flourished.

The Industrial Revolution brought mechanization to the process, vastly increasing production speed and output. Today, weaving remains both an industrial mainstay and a cherished craft, practiced by artisans and designers worldwide.
